Acceptance of Terms
By applying for CODED:X verification, you agree to these terms of service and our verification pledge.
Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for CODED:X verification, your project must:
- Have been primarily developed in the United Kingdom
- Have ongoing development or maintenance by UK-based team members
- Meet our technical and documentation standards
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
The CODED:X Pledge
By joining CODED:X, you pledge that:
- Your project information is accurate and complete
- You will maintain UK development requirements
- You will respond honestly to verification inquiries
- You will notify us of material changes to your project or team
Badge Usage
Use of the CODED:X badge is subject to our usage guidelines. Misuse may result in immediate revocation.
Verification and Audits
CODED:X reserves the right to verify information and conduct periodic audits. Failure to cooperate may result in certification removal.
Fees and Payments
Annual fees apply except for academic institutions with .ac.uk domains which are exempt from fees.
Consumers' 14-day right to cancel (UK)
If you're a consumer buying our digital services online, you can cancel within 14 days of purchase. If you ask us to start immediately, you acknowledge you lose this right once service starts. For subscriptions, cancellation stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Termination
Either party may terminate membership at any time. Upon termination, you must immediately cease use of the CODED:X badge.
Limitation of Liability
CODED:X certification is a voluntary program. We make no warranties about the quality or security of certified projects.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms with 30 days notice. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of new terms.
